- What is Megira Mall?
- Megira Mall is Rwanda's online shopping mall, based in Kigali. Businesses rent a virtual storefront or office to sell online, shoppers discover and contact them directly, and private sellers can list items in the auction marketplace.
- How much does it cost to open an online shop in Rwanda?
- Shop plans start at 15,000 RWF/month for SME Business, 25,000 RWF/month for Big Business, and 100,000 RWF/month for Premium. Every new shop gets a free trial before its first rent — during our launch promo the first shops get 60 days free.
- How do I get paid? Does Megira Mall take a commission?
- Buyers contact and pay you directly, usually via MTN MoMo or Airtel Money. Megira Mall never takes a cut of your sales — you keep 100% of every sale. You display your own mobile-money and bank details on your storefront.
- Can I pay with mobile money?
- Yes. Rent, boosts and advertising are all paid by MTN MoMo or Airtel Money.
- How do I get my shop verified?
- You can earn a Verified badge by submitting business documents for admin review, or by purchasing the paid Verified Badge (12,000 RWF/year). A verified badge builds trust with shoppers.
- How long does approval take?
- New shops and auction listings are reviewed by our team, usually within 24 hours, before they go live on the mall.
